Another Prom
Here we are at another prom. I didn't attend my own prom back in high school. But I think of the emotional mess that at least I was and I realize that maybe I have it better now. Not only do I not have to worry about what all my friends think and the drama that went along with that, but now I get paid to be there and I know I am going home with the hottest girl there!

2011 Seniors
Now is the time to start thinking about Senior Portraits. Don't get caught with too little time because of school activities or try to take your portraits in the Winter or Spring when everything isn't green outside.
During the month of June, it's two for one! That means you and a friend can book senior portrait time for the price of one or get twice as much time for yourself at the same price. That means if you book one hour, you get two hours of photography.Contact us now to start planning your
senior portraits now, so you can enjoy them all year long and have them before everyone does. Call 806-298-2845 or email us today.April 21, 2010

Family Portraits in Time for Mothers Day
Sinklier Studios and Hub School of Performing Arts have teamed up to offer fun family portraits as a fundraiser for Hub. We will be set up at their school for three days to take family portraits. Session fees are just $20 (all of which goes to Hub).
You will have 2 choices of backgrounds, black or white. You can coordinate your outfits to go with either set. Contact us or Hub to book your session. Portrait orders will be back in time for Mother's Day, so they make a great gift. Family portraits can be any group
or individual, so whatever your group, we can photograph you for this special.
The deadline to schedule your session is Monday, April 12, so contact right away to schedule your session. Call 806-298-2845 or email us at Cory@sinklierstudios.com.

Roping in the Wind
Today was the windiest day I've seen this Spring and I had the pleasure of photographing a senior in Edmonson roping in his outdoor arena. I can still taste the dirt, but it was really a great session. I will never cease to be impressed by the cooperation of horse and man in a sport like this. Between the two
participants, it is hard to tell who enjoys it more...I can't speak for the target, but the calves seem to get over it quickly. Drew took several runs with me standing a few yards away, down wind. Freezing the action in the photos here looks completely different from the blur that flew by me while clicking the shutter, not to mention the dirt in my eyes. Thanks for the opportunity to have this adventure today.

High School Senior Commercial
Thanks to the seniors who volunteered to help with our commercial on this freezing day. We did about ten takes of them walking outside without their coats on, and it had to be in the mid to high 30s that morning. The TV crew was very complimentary of how well-mannered the kids were.

South Plains Boy Scouts of America BanquetI was fortunate enough to be asked by a friend of mine to photograph the Boy Scout banquet this year as the BSA celebrates its 100th anniversary. The Keynote speaker was Jim Lovell, the famous Apollo 13 astronaut you may have heard of before from the movie Apollo 13. In attendance for the event were also several local and state politicians. It was exciting to be apart of the event and Mr Lovell was an amazingly sharp speaker.

Pinup Calendar Shoot
Thanks to everyone who helped out with our calendar shoot. Our pinup girls: Kippin, Holly, Julia, and Audry. Thanks to Marilee and Kaitlyn for doing the hair and makeup and Laurie for helping us keep everything together! I have lots of photos to go through. We went to the TV station today to help edit the footage and photos together. The commercial should be running soon on KMAC and KLBK. Here are a few behind-the-scenes shots. I will have finished photos to show off soon. Be sure to let us know if you are interested in purchasing a calendar. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
